Livewire Digital supports fast resilient optimised internet from bonded cellular, terrestrial and satellite networks on ‘subscription’ basis

Making its debut at IBC 2019 is RazorLink Hybrid Communications as a Service (HCaaS) from Livewire Digital (stand B48, Hall 5) – a new subscription service for users that require fast, resilient, optimised Internet that automatically bonds available cellular, terrestrial and satellite networks for live streaming, the transfer of large files and access to cloud services. HCaaS’s versatile nature makes it ideal for a wide range of industries including emergency response, government & military, autonomous vehicles, broadcast, maritime, construction and more. The service also enables users to avoid purchasing costly backend infrastructure and IT engineering services. Please click on the link to view an explanatory video on how HCaaS works.

Commenting on the launch, Tristan Wood, Managing Director, Livewire Digital, said, “Customers can utilise our smart networking subscription service to access cloud services without the need to support any IT infrastructure. In addition to this public service, it is possible for a telecommunications operator or ISP to host a private RazorLink subscription service and provide key clients with a value add service, to satisfy their demand for global, high performance hybrid communications.”

Livewire’s HCaaS service is fully compatible with all the RazorLink Smart Networking software and hardware solutions, including the SilverBlade II, a lightweight small-footprint unit that seamlessly bonds cellular and Wi-Fi services to provide a highly resilient internet connection for broadcast professionals to deliver low latency live and file based media from cameras, laptops or mobiles. The combination of the SilverBlade II and HCaaS can offer bonded Internet access at up 100Mbps to a laptop, smartphone or camera connect by Ethernet or WiFi. The SilverBlade II - heralded as an important new development of significant value to crews broadcasting breaking news stories - is small, lightweight and can be battery powered.

RazorLink provides network acceleration, network bonding, stream resilience, security enhancements, traffic prioritisation, seamless network migration, and cost effective network selection. Compatible with all major operating systems and off the shelf hardware and scalable from a raspberry Pi to cloud server farms, RazorLink is the solution for next generation networking.
