AXESS Networks deploys ST Engineering iDirect hubs for services in Americas and EMEA

As part of its global growth strategy, AXESS set two new state-of-the-art ST Engineering iDirect hubs in operation, to support increased demand of several clients in the Americas and EMEA.

AXESS’ teams implemented the new infrastructure in record time at teleports in Mexico and the Middle East. New features of these hubs in allow them to reach bandwidths of up to 100Mbps with small equipment, which translates into service benefits for their customers. Additionally, they use high-performance HTS technology (High Throughput Satellite).

AXESS infrastructure, ranked amongst the top 10 of the best independent teleports worldwide and recognized by the WTA (World Teleport Association) and the GVF (Global VSAT Forum), continues to grow by integrating latest technologies. The integration further strengthens its operations and contributes to the service experience that AXESS delivers to clients from different sectors.

“We are delighted that AXESS has selected our comprehensive portfolio, enabling them to offer their customers every possible range of service with the best possible return and lowest total cost of ownership,” said Darren Ludington, Regional Vice President of Sales, Americas, ST Engineering iDirect.

Germán Pérez, Director of Product and Solutions Design at AXESS Americas expands on the project implemented in Mexico, “We have opted for technological growth while meeting the high demands for bandwidth of our clients with a comprehensive solution from all sides: A teleport with TIER-3 certification, an HTS satellite of excellent performance in the Mexican Republic and a latest technology Newtec Dialog HUB. Being pioneers in the implementation of the first ST Engineering iDirect platform in Mexico, gives us the confidence to continue advancing in our commercial and corporate objectives. In the solutions and product design area, we are always looking forward to delivering efficient and innovative products and this time the technological mix between a certified teleport, the best SCPC platform and high-performance HTS satellite technology is the winner and the best option for the Mexican market.”

Juan Mesa, Infrastructure Director at AXESS Americas highlights the efforts of the engineering team to set up the new hubs: “We are highly satisfied with the results of these implementations, which confirm that our experience and learning curve with these platforms mark the difference in the market. We are getting faster and able to continue consolidating ourselves as the top-level experts in the satellite telecommunications industry.”

Likewise, the challenge of implementing the hub at EMEA was no less the effort. The entire process was carried out remotely, meeting the expected objectives and standards satisfactorily. Dirk Nohlen, CTO at AXESS EMEA comments: “Achieving successful deployments in times of pandemic presents us with unimagined challenges. We are very proud to have achieved the objectives of this project by working everything remotely: Installation, commissioning, training of the teams, amongst many other tasks. This gives us confidence in our own abilities, and it is sure to be passed on to our customers and their end users. Big challenges, but even greater satisfactions.”
