IBC extends platform partnership to encompass end to end marketing and communications brief

IBC, the world's most inspiring content and technology event, has expanded its brief with Platform Communications to include its marketing services activities.

The move comes three months after IBC appointed Platform to handle its strategic PR/communications and will see the agency deliver a fully integrated communications program. The brief spans a wide range of activities that include overall marketing campaign development, communications planning, messaging and content creation, media relations, media partnership management, email marketing, social media management and web content.

IBC is a major exhibition, conference and online platform that enables the content and technology community to discover the latest innovations and drive sales. IBC takes place in Amsterdam each September, attracting major broadcasters, creators, service providers and technology companies. IBC also provides a digital platform, enabling its global community of over 150,000 professionals to tap into the latest thinking throughout the year.

"Enabling the IBC community to re-engage with each other is more important than ever as companies look for ways to drive sales and explore the future of media together. This year, we're creating a unique hybrid event experience that will bring the industry back together for the first time in far too long. Our marketing needs to communicate our plans in an inclusive and engaging way. Platform has demonstrated its strategic abilities in the work the team has delivered so far, so it was an obvious choice to use that thinking across all our marketing," said Michael Crimp, Chief Executive of IBC.

"IBC plays a vital role in creating opportunities for the content and technology industry to collaborate, create innovations and drive business forward. We're immensely proud to take on the role of marketing services agency alongside PR. We're strong believers in integrated communications and are looking forward to supporting IBC plans for the year ahead," said Gay Bell, Chief Executive, Platform Communications.
