Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Technical Solutions Division awarded delivery order for Depot-Level Maintenance on USS Chosin (CG 65)

Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that its Technical Solutions division was awarded a task order by the U.S. Navy’s Southwest Regional Maintenance Center for a Special Selected Restricted Availability (SSRA) on the guided missile cruiser USS Chosin (CG 65).

Technical Solutions’ Fleet Support Group (Continental Maritime of San Diego) is being awarded a $37.7 million firm-fixed-price delivery order, which, if all options are exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the award to $45 million. Technical Solutions will provide depot-level maintenance, alterations and modifications to update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities. Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by April 2018.

“It is always our goal to be the best partner in the port, so we are honored to support the Navy’s fleet modernization with this delivery order to perform an SSRA on USS Chosin,” said Dan Flood, operations director at HII’s San Diego shipyard. “This award allows our skilled workforce of ship repair professionals to continue to showcase their technical expertise, while achieving superior results through teamwork.”
