iDirect Government Receives Washington Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Honors

iDirect Government (iDirectGov), a leading provider of satellite communications to the military and government, today announced that it was named the Washington Business Journal's (WBJ) 2019 Best Places to Work for the large company category. The WBJ, which acknowledges the 100 Greater Washington companies for their workplace excellence based on survey responses from their respective employees, received more than 500 nominations this year.

“We are pleased to be recognized as one of the best places to work in the D.C. area, and what is particularly satisfying is that our employees made this happen,” said John Ratigan, President of iDirect Government. “As we celebrated 10 years as a company last year, this is a testament to our talented and dedicated employees, and I truly believe our people are integral to our success.

“Hiring the right people who put customers first, maintaining a positive attitude and working hard to grow the company have all translated into our success as a leading provider of satellite communications (Satcom) products and service to defence and civilian government agencies. The customer-centric approach by our team has helped us to accomplish growth year after year, and has resulted in products that meet our customers’ needs.”

This award builds upon iDirectGov’s recognition from the Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA) earlier this month with a win of the 2019 Annual Mobility Innovation Award (Top Cybersecurity Solution) for its enhanced transmission security (TRANSEC)-compliant network architecture.

The honorees were announced on May 16 at a ceremony at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, MD.
