RUAG is supplying 16 “missim” sensor test devices for helicopters to the German Bundeswehr. The state-of-the-art “missim” system simulates a broad range of attack characteristics such as radar, lasers, guided missiles and Hostile Fire Indication (HFI). Through its renewed purchase of test devices, the German Bundeswehr is again demonstrating its confidence in its long-standing and reliable collaboration with RUAG.
The German Bundeswehr has already put its faith in RUAG’s innovative test solution for other flight systems. Now, a total of 16 of these second-generation test devices have been purchased in this latest order. They will be used with NH90 and Tiger helicopter systems in the future.
RUAG’s “missim” test device for helicopters is based on the latest technology and is being constantly refined by specialists with solid expertise. The 4-in-1 “missim” sensor tester simulates a broad range of electronic warfare (EW) attack characteristics such as radar, lasers, guided missiles and Hostile Fire Indication (HFI). This simulation enables armed forces to reliably test the functionality of their self-protection system within minutes. This not only guarantees the operational readiness of helicopters but in particular the safety of crew and soldiers deployed on international operations.
The faith shown by the German Bundeswehr underlines RUAG’s status as a technology partner to numerous armed forces. These international transactions create valuable synergies and help RUAG to continually expand its expertise.
