Allerium's Statewide Next Generation 9-1-1 service live in Kentucky

Comtech Telecommunications announced that its Allerium business segment, formerly known as the Terrestrial & Wireless Networks segment, has reached a significant milestone in its statewide contract to design, deploy, and operate Next Generation 9-1-1 (“NG9-1-1”) services for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

On December 4, 2025, Allerium migrated the first Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”)-Bluegrass 911 Communications-onto the Commonwealth’s new service and delivered the first NG9-1-1 text and voice calls to this Lancaster, Kentucky, agency. After eight months of planning leading to the first cutover, the program has already migrated 12 PSAPs in its first four months of operation, establishing a strong foundation for the continued statewide transition to NG9-1-1 across Kentucky.

The milestone comes just over one year after Allerium first announced its NG9-1-1 partnership with the Commonwealth and the Kentucky 911 Services Board in March 2025.

“This cutover reflects the collaboration and trust built between Allerium, Kentucky, and the emergency communications community, delivering complex mission-critical services with ease and speed,” said Eric Guerrero, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Allerium’s Next Generation 9-1-1 and Call Delivery Platform. “Drawing on experience supporting statewide NG9-1-1 systems across the United States, including Arizona and Washington, this approach is helping position the Bluegrass State to support both current and future emergency communication needs. We’re proud to partner with Kentucky as this transition moves forward.”

Under this multi-year contract, Allerium will provide a ubiquitous, resilient, and scalable National Emergency Number Association (“NENA”) i3 call routing architecture that modernizes and enhances the efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability of emergency response capabilities for years to come. Allerium’s public safety-grade service will deliver seamless interoperability and integration while enabling new and advanced communication capabilities such as geospatial location routing, all backed by proven products, processes, and statewide PSAP and OSP migration success spanning multiple Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (“ESInet”) and Next Generation Core Services (“NGCS”) deployments, ensuring reliable emergency communications when every connection counts.
