America 'open for business' at Farnborough International Airshow for the first time since 2018

After a break of four years, the US presence at the Farnborough International Airshow, organized by Kallman Worldwide in the form of the USA Partnership Pavilion, has returned in full throttle.

In Farnborough, at the birthplace of British aviation, The Mission Continues for 200+ U.S. companies exhibiting within the USA Partnership Pavilion, covering at total of 3,300 square meters across Halls 2, 3 and 4.

The Pavilion forms the centerpiece of the American national presence at the show and was organized in co-ordination with numerous government agencies, including the US Department of Commerce & US Department of Defense. The increased American presence at the show this year demonstrates the country’s overall commitment to increased trade, economic growth, prosperity, and global security.

Pavilion exhibitors represent a staggering 34 states, including 15 state pavilions featuring state-based co-exhibitors within the larger US space. 64 Pavilion exhibitors are new to market, 84 are new to the show, and all are looking to generate new business and grow exports by expanding overseas and/or recruiting international partners to establish or participate in US-based operations.

At the USA Partnership Pavilion’s Opening Ceremony, Tom Kallman spoke of the importance of global collaboration and how essential in-person meetings are to business. Kallman was joined on stage by the Honorable Jane Hartley, U.S. Ambassador to the Court of St James’s, The Honorable Frank Kendall US Secretary of the Air Force, and Industry Ambassador to the USA Partnership Pavilion Brigadier General Charlie Duke, USAF, Ret. (Apollo 16).

General Duke was the tenth – and at 36, the youngest – of the dozen astronauts to have walked on the lunar surface between 1969 and 1972. He joins Team USA as he reaches the 50th anniversary of his Apollo Mission, reminding us that whilst the U.S. remain the only nation to have sent crewed spacecraft to the moon, nothing is achievable without international collaboration. Kallman presented Duke with an awarding recognizing all Apollo Missions and the inspiration that they have had on the world as we know it.
