Argosy to showcase simplified IP and 4K infrastructure at CABSAT 2022

Argosy, a leading international supplier of infrastructure products, will be exhibiting at CABSAT on 17-19 May (Stand E6-10), Dubai World Trade Centre), showcasing a range of fixed installation and deployable solutions in support of IP and 4K production; including power management solutions, patch panels, KVM devices, racks, cables, SMPTE reels and tactical fibre.

An Argosy Image rack will host standard and intelligent mains distribution units, along with patch panels from Argosy and Canare

“Simplifying the management of production, content management and delivery infrastructure builds and operations is at the core of our business," said Raziullah Baig, regional sales manager, Argosy Middle East LLC. “Our comprehensive catalogue of active and passive hardware solutions has expanded further over the last two years and we’re really looking forward to showing our Middle East customers how our new and existing product ranges complement each other.”

An Argosy Image rack on the stand will host standard and intelligent mains distribution units, along with patch panels from Argosy and Canare. Argosy's partnership with Canare has brought great value to the Middle East broadcast industry over the last few years, by supporting its transition to IP production over SMPTE 2110 and to higher resolutions of 4K and beyond.

Argosy will also be highlighting new broadcast workspace solutions from kvm-tec, with KVM devices that save costs on redundant hardware, reduce cabling and infrastructure, consolidate desk space, and increase performance by having multiple computers working as one.

“The IP-based production workflow now connects the broadcast infrastructure to the wider global IT infrastructure, cost-effectively improving networking and signal transportation,” continued Baig. “Such networks need to be supported by IP-based 4K-ready switching and extension products.”

For versatile fibre transport, Argosy will also display Barnfind’s range of fibre adaptors which allow designers to quickly create complex infrastructures enabling data streams such as lighting control to be routed alongside audio and video. BarnMini range fibre converters provide very high quality conversion, particularly between fibre and copper cables.

A selection of Argosy’s Image cables and Belden cables will also feature, plus a range of opticalCON advanced tactical fibre assemblies, including the opticalCON Duo, opticalCON Quad and the opticalCON MTP connection systems. These provide a broad range of multiplexed connectivity solutions, including fibre splitters and high resilience connectors.

Argosy will also be introducing a new a range of connectors and tooling from Simply45® at CABSAT for CAT 6, CAT 6A and CAT 7 cabling installations, designed to make any wiring task simpler and less expensive. The Simply45 series boasts the only pass-through style connectors approved by HDBaseT, the global standard for the transmission of ultra-high-definition video & audio, Ethernet, controls, USB and up to 100W of power over a single, long-distance, cable.

Argosy will be bringing its new Hyperflex SMPTE camera cable to CABSAT for the first time. Hyperflex is designed for simple and fast deployment of cable assemblies to speed up rigging and derigging, making it ideal for outside broadcast and studio installation. Unlike standard SMPTE cables, fibres and copper are enclosed in customised polyurethane rubberised compound outer jackets for unmatched resilience. Argosy will also be presenting custom SMPTE cable reels.
