Atheras Analytics SAS announces appointment of Mesbah Shaheed to Head of Engineering

Atheras Analytics SAS has appointed Mesbah Shaheed Head of Engineering to spearhead the development of the company’s unique and groundbreaking technology.
Mesbah is a veteran of the satellite communications industry with over 25 years of experience, having held a variety of technical and leadership positions. Most recently, he held a management role at ST Engineering iDirect where he led cross-functional teams delivering software, testing, and operations for global satellite networks. This followed a long tenure at Inmarsat Limited (now ViaSat).
Mesbah will leverage his extensive experience in the sector to lead the engineering team and facilitate the evolution and extension of Atheras Analytics’ portfolio that represents a gamechanger for satellite operators and users of high frequency satcoms.
Atheras Analytics SAS has developed of a suite of award-winning AI-based, SaaS-delivered software tools that enable satellite operators to optimise the design and operation of their next-generation Ka-band and Q/V-band satellite networks for maximum network availability in both GEO and NGSO. The core of these tools is the AI-based Outage Prediction Algorithm (OPA) which employs advanced machine learning techniques, including neural networks, to train the OPA for multiple different operational scenarios.
