BlackSky Technology added to Russell 3000® Index

BlackSky Technology has joined the broad-market Russell 3000® Index, effective after the US market close on June 23, 2023, as part of the 2023 Russell indexes reconstitution. Membership in the US all-cap Russell 3000® Index, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the large-cap Russell 1000® Index or small-cap Russell 2000® Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes.

“We are honored to be included in the Russell 3000 index,” said Brian E. O’Toole, BlackSky CEO. “This is a milestone event for the company and a testament to BlackSky’s strong fundamentals and business performance, and further underscores our role as a market leader in the geospatial intelligence industry. We believe BlackSky’s inclusion will increase visibility, providing us with the opportunity to reach a wider set of investment managers and institutional investors.”

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $12.1 trillion in assets are benchmarked against Russell’s US indexes. Russell indexes are part of FTSE Russell, a leading global index provider.
