Castanet 5G, Forsway, and partners launch video-on-demand over satellite service

Castanet 5G and Forsway, alongside Mainstream Data, Apogee Networks, and Vodomedia, are unveiling a groundbreaking hybrid VoDoS (Video-on-Demand-over-Satellite) solution that seamlessly blends one-to-all 5G Broadcast delivery and edge-caching. This innovative solution slashes costs, enhances quality, and scales effortlessly to address the streaming industry’s biggest challenges: cost, reach, and last-mile reliability. The new hybrid VoDoS solution merges national-scale distribution with direct-to-consumer edge-cached storage, delivering a B2B2C wholesale satellite service with unmatched efficiency for ISPs—cellular, cable, WISPs, satellite (GEO/LEO), OTT platforms, and legacy DTH providers. -“The VoDoS satellite CDN offers ISPs a fully end-to-end wholesale service that eliminates regional data centers and middle mile costs for seamless, cost-efficient content delivery directly to consumers,” says Vern Fotheringham, Castanet 5G Executive Chairman.


Forsway’s advanced equipment enables direct-to-consumer access, seamlessly integrated with VodoMedia’s robust online and offline digital rights management (DRM), ensuring secure, flexible
