Stemming from the EU Space Strategy for Security and Defence and facilitated by the European Commission and the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), the EU Space ISAC is a collaborative initiative for EU space sector companies to foster exchanges, raise awareness and share best practices to strengthen their security. This cooperation, within the private ecosystem but also with public entities, aims at improving the overall resilience of the EU space sector and thus better prevent, tackle and mitigate security-related challenges, including cybersecurity.
The 1st Board Meeting was co-chaired by the European Commission and EUSPA, joined by 12 Founding Members representing both large industrial groups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across the European Union. During their two-year term, Founding Members, who include Airbus Defence & Space, Cyberinflight, GMV, Infodas, Leonardo, OHB, Osmium, Priamos, Promethee, Satlantis, Thales Alenia Space, and Tecnobit, will be setting up the EU Space ISAC, integrating new Members and Public partners, and organizing the first activities.
