Finalists announced for the GVF quarter century of excellence award

In connection with the 25th anniversary of GVF’s establishment as the global trade association representing the satellite ecosystem, GVF today announced the five finalists for the GVF Quarter Century of Excellence Award following a public nomination process:

  • Eutelsat

  • Hughes Network Systems

  • Inmarsat

  • Kratos

  • SES

Each of these five finalists has a long history of leading the industry in advances and the winner will be selected by a group of independent jurors who will base their decision on which company’s advances have had the greatest beneficial impact on society, the broad telecommunications sector and the company’s financial bottom line. Each company’s candidacy will be presented during a virtual event on 6 July. The winner will be announced, and the Award given, on 14 September 2022 at Euroconsult’s World Satellite Business Week Gala event.

Commenting on the selection of the five finalists, GVF Secretary General David Meltzer said, “We received many nominations of extremely qualified companies. The five finalists each have a remarkable record and the jurors will have a difficult choice in selecting just a single winner. GVF is grateful to have the opportunity to announce the winner at Euroconsult’s World Satellite Business Week in September and looks forward to the 6 July event which will be co-hosted with Euroconsult.”

Euroconsult CEO Pacôme Révillon commented, “As the World Satellite Business Week is also celebrating its 25th year as the leading satellite business meeting place for senior executives, we are very pleased to join GVF in celebrating its 25th anniversary and draw attention to the many contributions of GVF’s members. The 6 July virtual event will be an opportunity to learn more about the finalists’ contributions and generate attention to their achievements as well as help the jurors select the winner.”
