Fincons Group has announced that Mediaset, a leading Italian broadcaster and media company, has selected AllRights as their new rights management system, to modernise and streamline its operations, in a joint initiative that also includes its film production and distribution company, Medusa Film.
With the increasing diversification of distribution channels – from traditional linear television to digital and on-demand platforms – efficient and integrated rights management has become more critical than ever. Mediaset decided to embark on a transformation programme for its rights management division, with the ultimate goal of phasing out their legacy rights management system and optimising operations, in response to the growing demands of a complex and rapidly evolving media rights landscape. To meet both current needs and future business developments, Mediaset has selected Fincons’ AllRights.
“Fincons’ solution stood out for its all-encompassing functional coverage and advanced technological stack,” said Luca Poloni, Mediaset Chief Technology Officer. “AllRights was ultimately selected for its ability to meet our high standards of scalability, flexibility, and long-term sustainability. Its adoption marks a key step towards streamlining processes across all areas involved in rights management and strengthening governance across MFE’s countries.”
AllRights is a cutting-edge rights management solution designed specifically for the media and entertainment industry. With a modular, scalable architecture, it enables comprehensive control over the entire rights lifecycle, from acquisition and contract management to exploitation and compliance. For Mediaset and Medusa Film, the platform will support content and metadata management, and contract and rights management - both rights-in and rights-out-, enabling the companies to manage all aspects of their rights strategy within a unified ecosystem.
By adopting AllRights, Mediaset and Medusa expect to significantly increase operational efficiency through automation, improve visibility into rights usage and availability, and unlock new revenue streams by optimising both inbound acquisitions and outbound licensing.
Fincons will also handle AllRights’ implementation process, adapting the solution to meet Mediaset and Medusa’s needs and integrating AllRights with surrounding systems (such as Media Asset Management, ERP, Scheduling system, etc). Fincons will also ensure a smooth transition from existing on-premises systems to the AllRights cloud-based solution.
“We are proud to support Mediaset in this important step,” said Francesco Moretti, Deputy CEO and CEO International at Fincons Group. “With AllRights, we are confident that we are offering the market the flexibility and performance levels required to manage rights in today’s complex media environment, while also laying the foundation for future business models and monetisation opportunities. We look forward to seamlessly transitioning our systems to provide internal users with the value-added required by changing industry needs”.
