PLD Space has extended its Series C funding round, originally launched in March 2026, with an additional €108 million investment, bringing the total round size to €288 million and aggregate funding to €488 million.
The new capital will support MIURA 5 industrialisation, production and test capacity, launch infrastructure and the transition toward commercial operations, reinforcing PLD Space as a leading player in delivering independent, resilient access to space.
The Series C extension is led once again by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, reaffirming its position as a long-term industrial and strategic partner, and its commitment to advancing independent launch capabilities. The Spanish public funds management company COFIDES is co-investing again following its participation in the initial Series C, reinforcing PLD Space’s long-term institutional backing.
Other new investors include Endeavor Catalyst, Endeavor's global venture capital fund, and Spain Oman Private Equity Fund (“SOPEF”) – investment vehicle managed by MCH Private Equity. Banco Santander acted as financial advisor and Deloitte provided legal counsel to PLD Space.
“This new milestone, which builds on the Series C round launched earlier this year, reinforces our capacity to execute PLD Space’s transition into a global commercial launch provider, while maintaining rigorous operational and financial discipline”, said Ezequiel Sánchez, PLD Space’s Executive President. “The backing of top-tier industrial, public, and financial investors confirms the strength of our growth strategy and accelerates our ability to commercialise MIURA 5, scale our production capacity, and secure financially sustainable, long-term commercial operations”.
