SATNUS successfully completes the fourth flight demonstration campaign

During the third and fourth week of March, SATNUS successfully completed the fourth flight demonstration campaign under Pillar 3 of the Next Generation Weapon System/ Future Combat Air System (NGWS/FCAS) program at the INTA-CEDEA facilities.

The campaign consisted of nine flights aimed at verifying the Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUT) software led by SATNUS and developed in collaboration with the international partners Airbus GmbH and MBDA, integrated into the Next Generation Autonomy Computer (NGAC), where Remote Carriers were represented by both real and simulated Man-Unmanned-Teaming & Common Systems Demonstrator (MCSD) platforms.

During the campaign, several MUT functionalities were demonstrated, including formation flight, evasive maneuvers, collaborative navigation (including operations in denied environments), mission re-planning, formation break-up, and visual platform detection for relative distance calculation, among others. The flights involved up to three real Remote Carriers in operation and two simulated ones.

The campaign concluded with flights #29, #30, and #31 in the presence of the Combined Project Team (CPT) and the National Program Offices of the three partner nations (France, Germany and Spain). SATNUS engineering teams carried out highly specialized work to achieve this milestone, meeting all defined objectives while combining the expertise of the three companies (GMV, Sener, and Tecnobit-Grupo Oesia) and their international partners.
