Ammar Alkassar will leave Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity at the end of the year

Ammar Alkassar, the current managing director and CEO of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity GmbH, will leave the company at the end of the year at his own request and steps down from his tasks as executive director. Alkassar had taken over his tasks within the technology group as part of the acquisition of Sirrix AG by Rohde & Schwarz in 2015; Alkassar was the person who originally founded Sirrix. “Part of switching Sirrix to Rohde & Schwarz involved integrating the company and other acquisitions in group structures. This process has been completed. In this sense, the completion of the integration process marks the time when I need to hand over my executive position and tackle new challenges outside the company. I continue to be fully convinced that the skills provided by Sirrix are in very good hands at Rohde & Schwarz and that it was correct to join forces“, Ammar Alkassar said today. Peter Riedel, Executive Director of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, thanked Ammar Alkassar for his work. “We regret the step taken by Ammar Alkassar, as he’s played a major role in developing the cybersecurity department within our company. We’d like to thank him for his work during the last two years and are certain that we’ll hear of, read about and see more of Ammar Alkassar in the field of cybersecurity in future too.” The second executive director and CFO with equal rights at the special provider of IT security, Reik Hesselbarth, will manage the company alone until somebody new is appointed as CEO.
