Anywaves has announced the creation of a new US-based subsidiary, Anywaves Federal, focused on government and defense customers. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Anywaves Federal will be led by Nicolas Hine, General Manager of Anywaves US, who has been appointed as its Chief Executive Officer.
Austin’s Thriving Defense and Space Community Attracts Anywaves Federal
Anywaves’ decision to locate Anywaves Federal in Austin reflects Texas’ rapidly growing stature as a national hub for commercial space and defense innovation. The establishment of the Texas Space Commission in 2023 underlines the state’s long-term commitment to expanding its space economy.
Strategic military and aerospace infrastructure also makes Texas especially attractive: San Antonio, known as “Military City, USA,” hosts key defense operations, and the broader region benefits from strong ties between government agencies and industry.
Anywaves Federal will operate from Capital Factory in downtown Austin, a venue recognized for bringing together technology innovators and US defense leadership. The location is one of the few places where military decision-makers regularly engage with industry to explore solutions to current and future national security challenges.
“We are happy to welcome Anywaves to the City of Austin and its growing international and aerospace companies”, said Ed Latson, CEO of Opportunity Austin “Our ecosystem for fast growth companies remains a defining feature of our community.”
A Strategic Move to Support Federal Missions and Strengthen US Industry
Anywaves’ journey from international space business to a truly multinational enterprise, marked by the recent launch of Anywaves US also based in Austin, now extends into the heart of US government and defense.
The creation of Anywaves Federal showcases Anywaves’ firm commitment to bring its cutting-edge space antennas and RF payloads to US federal customers.
Under the leadership of Nicolas Hine, newly appointed CEO, Anywaves Federal aims to build a local industrial footprint. The company plans to establish production lines, testing facilities, and a recruitment pipeline in Texas, contributing to both the US space economy and local job growth.
“We created Anywaves Federal because we believe in the power of sovereign capability combined with commercial agility,” said Nicolas Hine, CEO of Anywaves Federal. “By anchoring our defense-focused operations in Texas, we are positioning ourselves to serve US government customers with unmatched performance, while investing in American industry and talents.”
The launch of Anywaves Federal marks an additional step in Anywaves’ evolution as a multinational company expanding its presence across key global markets. While dedicated to serving US federal and defense customers, this new subsidiary fits within a broader international strategy to bring Anywaves’ high-performance space antennas and RF payloads closer to customers worldwide.
As Nicolas Hine takes on the role of CEO, Anywaves Federal will bring Anywaves closer to US government and defense stakeholders, support mission-critical programs, and pave the way for future industrial investments.
