
The World Teleport Association (WTA) has announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors:
Alessandro Caranci, Senior Vice President, Satellite Communications, Telespazio
George Rabatin, Senior Manager, Project Kuiper Ground Infrastructure, Amazon Kuiper
They have been appointed to serve out the remaining terms of Lorenzo Ronzitti, Head of Satcom Transnational Coordination at Telespazio and Jay Bloom, Head of Project Kuiper Satellite Ground Systems at Amazon Kuiper.
“We are grateful to Lorenzo and Jay for their years of service on the Board,” said executive director Robert Bell. “WTA depends on its Board not only for management oversight but for offering a window into the needs and concerns of our member teleport, satellite and technology companies in a market changing at speed.”
Directors on the WTA Board serve three-year terms and are elected by the membership. Board elections will take place in March 2025, at which time Alessandro Caranci and George Rabatin will be nominated to serve new terms.
